Patients are increasingly facing discrimination when their health care plans are designed to shift an unfair portion of health care costs to them. This hits the most fragile patients the hardest. Nevada lawmakers have agreed to take up a new bill, SB 436, to fight health plan discrimination in our state. The bill will ensure that people who rely on high-cost specialty medications will have the choice of a health care plan that provides flat, affordable co-pays for all of their medication needs – and addresses concerns regarding high out-of-pocket costs for families.
